C. Hafner is a German family business. Carl Hafner founded it in Pforzheim in 1850; today it is run in the fifth generation by Birgitta Hafner and Dr. Philipp Reisert. The head office is in Wimsheim.

The company is a gold and silver refinery: it recovers precious metal from secondary material and turns it into semi-finished products, components, powder and bars. The gold bars are refined from secondary material.
